The Face Behind The Camera

Hiii there, my name is Amanda!


First & foremost, I am a wife

& mother of 5-6 or 7

kids, maybe more!?

We have a big family & over the years, we have learned to embrace the chaos.

We share - a little bit too much sometimes

(ask me about the time we had COVID

for nearly 5 months straight)!

We laugh.

We do our best.

We have fun.

We get loud & act silly just for the fun of it.

We make mistakes - because we are real!

We forgive each other - for the most part.

We give hugs & high-fives...sometimes to the face.

But more than anything we stick together &

that is what makes family!

Born & raised in Indiana. I grew up in a big family myself with siblings, lots of cousins, aunts & uncles, & grandparents - we were a pretty tight-knitted crazy crew & still are!  

That is where my love for photography stemmed from.

Then taking the camera to CVS, Costco or elsewhere to get them developed & the anticipation of WAITINNG to see the outcome...don't forget the "negatives" that came with, which believe it or not, I still have negatives from back in the day.  Oh, if I could go back to the 90's... it's all very nostalgic!


Fast forward 20+ years & here we are in a very digital world!


Not wanting to forget a single milestone of any sort (big or small), I have always tried to embrace & capture as much as I could that way we can look back & cherish the moment just as it was - for no two moments in life will ever be the same as it is right now!


I was (& still am) the over the top "momtographer" & with the push of my hubby, I was able to adventure into the real photography world! While attending workshops & taking photog classes, my family dedicated so much time & energy by being my muse...only a few hundred times orrr so! They truly helped me grow my business & I am forever indebted to my them for believing in me & always supporting my crazy antics.

I have always found enjoyment in taking pictures.

Ever since I held my first camera, good ol' disposable Kodak & Fujifilm!

Snapping away at anything possible:  

flowers & insects

birthday parties

while at the zoo

ridiculously close-ups of faces or other goofy things

hanging with friends in school or on the bus.

Over the last 10+ years, I have photographed many different subjects, scenes, & moments all over the country & with several different photog companies. My most favorite still being my own children, who, by the way have Photographer's Child Syndrome aka PCS... pretty sure this is a real thing!?! 

 

 

Life is filled with irreplaceable moments that can slip away with time. I’m here to help capture & keep those moments alive & vivid.
